WaterCooling setup- CPU only

Hey guys, i am thinking of building a WC setup. I have done WC before on my old Athlon 3000+ 754, sold it to help build this rig. I can get 4.0GHz STABLE!!! on my 6400 (500X8) but temps are a bit too high for my BT (68 C load), right now at 3.6GHz i am at 59 load, so the kicker here is I need something that can cool around 10-15C BETTER than my BT. Which i know wont be done in a cheapo setup. I am only willing to spend $150. thats with all ship/extra fees. This is what i am thinking. CORRECT ME IF MY APPROX PRICES ARE WRONG!!! I am estimating $10 ship for large items, $5 for small items, not factoring Ship for tubing.

Swiftech Apogee GT - $50 Shipped
Hydor L35 - $53 shipped
MasterKleer tubing - $3 Shipped
77 Bonneville Brougham HeaterCore with 2 120mm fans $40 (what rad's will cool better than this and stay in budget)
sheet metal AL for fan shroud-have
MCRES $25 shipped

right now im $21 over budget. I saw a L30 for $30 here but i dont have REP

You buy without rep... you just can't open a new topic.

If you buy everything at one site, shipping can be combined. Hydors are AC pumps, how do you plan to power it on with system? D-TEK FuZion CPU block is better... but also $20 more.
Once again...

Yeah i know about the D-Tek FuZion, and how good it is. I had a question though. I have heard that it is less restrictive. Does this mean that I don't need as good a pump to run it? so my planned, half-decent L35 (which i know is not that good a pump), will do significantly better with the FuZion than an Apogee GT? if so, and i can get the Hydor L30, which is SAME as Hydor L35 (same head, older revision) then i can stay in budget and have a FuZion!

I plan on a relay switch, got tons of em sitting around

320GPH... I forget the head rating?

If this is a simple CPU only loop, either pump should be fine with either block.

You don't really need to worry about restriction with a single-block loop. The pump you have listed should be okay for just a CPU loop, anything else I would get a different pump, the Hydors don't have a lot of head.

As long as you do not have many sharp bends or elbows in your tubing, you will be fine.

ok finalizing:
seems i missed the sale, someone else bought the cheap L30
o well
and i might not get a res, fillport is fine i think.

Hydor L35 (~50), Swiftech Apogee GT (~50), Pontiac Bonneville Brougham 77' Heatercore (~30), 2X120mm 78CFM Rosewill fans (~10), Masterkleer 5 ft (~$4) (this is a small loop), T-Line (have), DD Fillport (11+ship)
~$155
seems good. will it most likely get better temps than my BT? and are the CFM of the fans that important? on my last WC i just had two Vantec Tornados, they had around 90CFM (the 80mm ones), and i never tried benchies with different fans.

edit: thank you all, most helpful forum i have ever been too. all have been repped

What temps are you getting now with the BT? Load temps of you WC CPU should be in the low 30C's.

right now

my 24/7 overclock: 3.6 GHz (450X8), 1.45VCore, 32/36 idle, 55/59 load
highest stable overclock which i want to run 24/7 with the watercooling: 4.0GHz (500X8), 1.5VCore, with BT i got 37/40 idle and 61/68 load

is the latter overclock safe if its perfectly stable; since its at 1.5V im a bit scared. 1.5V ok for, say, if i had this rig for 4-5 years? (i know i wont, just asking)
