This might be a completely stupid question, but can I run DDR onn an AM2 board?

technically sp eaking. no

but if you wanted to there is a asrock board on new egg that lets you use ddr2 or ddr on the same board, it also lets you use pci-e or agp.

but don't do it

thats what I thought, but some Newegg comments had me thinking... I have no idea why I would think that a Newegg comment had any validity to it...

For some DDR sticks we are buying at work:

"Pros: this a great ram and worked great with all ddr2 motherboards that i have at home very compatiable"

ram is really cheap at the moment, so it might be an idea to get some ddr2 rams..
