possible modifyed 6800gt for my bios?

Thread Starter
Just wondering if it would be possible to modify a 6800gt agp bios in order to work with my card. My card is an nv 40 and has got all 16/6 pipes. Im just thinking this because then i maybe would be able to get the core higher than 360mhz because i think the gt has a slightly higher voltage

I know i cant do a straight swap and lower the memory frequency though because my card is only 128mb and the timings will be different.

Any ideas?

Learn to mod a BIOS.

Easy way out is to use NiBiTor (most 6800GTs can be modded that way, almost all AGP versions can), good way is to actually learn the "real" way.

Un-unlock the pipes/shaders and it should recognize it.

yes, 6800GT is 1.3 6800Ultra is 1.4

if you using the single slot 6800 cooler that is stock on 90% of the 6800 cards, your card can do 1.4V as my 6800GT did it fine, just make sure your fans are variable, so that they speed up with the heat increase.
