Is this possible?? Is this Legal??

**DISCLAIMER**
I KNOW PIRACY IS A BIG ISSUE AND WE CAN NOT ENCOURAGE, IT OR SHOW OTHERS HOW TO DO IT. SO IF ANY MODERATOR SEES THIS PLEASE ADVISE AND I'LL DISCONTINUE THE SUBJECT IF NEED BE.

However in my never ending search for true HD content. (i.e. WHOLE movies that were actualy released at the theater.) I thought about microsoft and how they allow downloading HD content, on to the XBOX 360.

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/marke...v/wbmovies.htm

Is there a way to bring that downloaded HD movie on to my PC hard drive and then view it on my PC? Think about it, this can't be piracy because I've paid for the movie.

If you defeat the copyright protections to do it, whether you've paid for the content or not, then yes. In this case it's illegal. As I don't think it's that easy to just move HD movies from an X360 to PC.

If you have Xbox live and payed for it, that shouldn't be against the TOS right? I you CAN'T save it into your xbox hd, then it's not ment to save it on your pc either. But if you do, it would be illegal, so against the TOS.

So this copyright protection is designed to keep you from taking the movie off the XBOX?

It's crazy that we have the capability to play HD now days on our PC's, but even you if try to pay for it, they try to keep you watching HD on your PC.

Well having not tried to do this myself (I don't d/l vdeo usually), unless there's an option in the X360 that says "Copy to my PC" then it was intended for the content to stay on teh X360.

You're probably right. I guess the next best thing is just to drop a few hundred on a HD DVD drive.
