I dunno what processor to get

I hear on july the 22nd they're dropping the prices of which processors?
All of their current core 2 duos?
Should I wait until then? I was thinking I should get an E6600
Thanks

Instead of a new processor, you should get a new motherboard/ram.

But yes, all the prices will be cut, but for some like the E6600, only $20 or so.

Q6600. @_@

There would be a better performance boost going from E6300 to Q6600 than E6600, but get whichever that fits your budget. The Q6600 will be $266.

Also, look into a new motherboard.

Well, quads are only faster if the apps you're using are multithreaded and can use 4-6 threads.

Oh, that's a pretty sweet rig!

For the motherboard, I would get the ASUS P5N32-E SLI instead. You can get a higher front side bus for better overclocking.

Doesn't matter, I'll overclock it anyway.
