Forza 2 cars - Page 5

the people that buy Z06's are people that carnt afford the likes of zonda;s, CGt's, SLRs but they still want a supercar thats why they go for the Z06. If i was a million/billionaire i go straight for the top end of supercars, why the hell would i want a Z06. Besides a gallardo/F430 handles better than a Z06, the build quality is better and also the badge is better. I wonder what would turn more heads down a street, a Z06 or a ferrari, oh yes a ferrari would. Saying that a Z06 would destroy an M5 on a track is abit obvious, ones a bloody saloon, but it sure can keep up.

I know all about the S7. Where it was tested, how it was all designed and everything. It was first tested in Whales on a rainy track and the only problem after the first testing was a foggy windshield. Yes there is some British aspects to it, but i wouldnt say a lot more British than American.

The new Z06's would destroy M5s. M5s have a lot of power, but they are tanks. Z06's are much more nimble. People get Z06's because they can't afford anything better? There is not a lot better until you get into twice that price range, and we are not all billionaire's here. The new Z06's are faster than a lot of exotics, but probably don't handle quite as well, and im sure you could ream the hell out of exotics' engines and they will be fine, but i bet the Z06 wouldn't last as long. This is merely speculation, but you'll probably agree. Exotics have higher quality parts, you get what you pay for, and got $100k+ it damn well better be good. The Z06 is an incredible machine for ~$70k.

Actually stock Corvette ZO6s have amazing handling. Only 12 cars have ever gone around the Top Gear test track faster than it and with the exception of the Ariel Atom which is barely even a car the cheapest of them cost well over 3 times the price of a ZO6. Also no Lamborghini has ever gone as fast around that track as the ZO6. In fact the Lamborghini Murcielago occupies the spot directly below it over 1 second slower. No even mildly practical car comes even close to their performance for the money.

Forza 2 is the best racing game that I have ever played. Tons of cars, awesome game engine, beautiful graphics, and good learning curve for new players. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes racing games. Also buy a wheel if you don't have one.

...i'm sure Forza is a good game, but to me, just like GT4, it's "car porn", i get much more fun out of driving an imaginary car around an imaginary track using the most realistic physics engine i can lay my hands on, than driving round a track in something that only looks like the real thing.

Forza is a game, not a simulator.

Have you even played Forza 2? It has the most advanced physics engine ever put into a racing game. The cars behave very similarly to real cars especially if you have the racing wheel. If you turn the game onto the hardest difficulty it turns off all of the driving assists and makes it extremely hard to drive high powered cars. It is truly a fantastic game. You really should try it before you make such comments. The driving in Forza 2 with the driving assists turned off is nothing like GT4.

ROFL.

Look, it does NOT have the "most advanced physics engine", it's more realistic than some of the ISI engined stuff, which suprised me, but things like LFS and nK Pro are more realistic. It's better than GT4, but it's not trying to be a sim, because no-one wants to buy sims because their to hard!

Thats why the game has driving assists. With all of them turned on with the racing line the game plays much like an arcade racing game. If you turn them all off the game becomes very realistic and a hell of a lot of fun. Play the game or look it up online. It has an extremely advanced physics engine.

I should have chosen my words more carefully. Its physics engine is up there with GTR 2 and RBR. Its honestly not really possible to say which one is the most realistic.

I already have, many times - it's realistic to a point, but it's not the "most advanced physics engine ever" by any stretch of the imagination, sure, there's nothing better on consoles (...bar RBR, but only on the dirt), but they're are still simulators more realistic.

What games are you reffering to? I would assume GTR 2, rFactor and LFS most likely.

ISI engined games = rFactor, GTR, GTL, GTR2, RACE - it actually seems to be a little more realistic than them, but it's not at an LFS/nK Pro level
