[Plan]Lian-Li 1200 plus mod

The first time I saw a Lian-Li 1200 I wanted one. My first impressions was "this is a beauty!" I still think it's a beauty but now that I have one I want to make it unique. I'm not sure of exactly what I'm going to do as of yet but whatever I do I aim to preserve the clean and classy looks of this case.
I was thinking about polishing the whole case at first but now I'm leaning more to wards a two-tone look. High Gloss Black/Polished Aluminum. I will be installing a window or windows while conserving the clean looks of this case. My goal is to build a V-1200 that is unlike any other but at the same time looking still like a V-1200. Hopefully I'll do a good job on this build!

I'd also like to note that SoaDMTGguy sold this case to me making this build possible.

Well, if you checked out my mod in my sig, I modded a Lian Li V2000.

I decided that I would paint the entire case for a black mirror finish.

As for as time and money were concerned (this was for the competition), it was a huge mistake and the most frustrating part of my entire mod. I literally wasted months doing it.

I would advise against doing a polish, unless you plan to do something simple. Polishing the thick aluminum of Lian Li grade is tough work.

Good luck to you on your mod! PM me anytime.

I have looked at your mod before and I think you did an excellent job with it. I know this will not be an easy mod for me but that's OK. I have the patients for it. I use to have aluminum wheels on a Mach 1 I use to have and I use to polish them till they looked like chrome, in fact some people thought they were. The wheels would turn really dull if I didn't stay on them. It was a real pain as I did it all by hand. I will not be doing the case by hand though starting out. I will hand polish in the final steps.

I'll be modding my V2000B soon, but damn, I have to be careful. Don't want to mess up a $240 computer case. . .

So, be careful, go wild, have a good time. AND TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES!

I hope you will be starting a log of your build. I'd like to keep track of your progress.

I'm going to start work on the case today. I'll be sure to make a log for it. Nothing toooo spectacular is going to happen, just a window and a few holes for watercooling. Maybe a bit more. . . Not sure yet.

I decided against painting this case. I painted my Armor and it looked worse after a while. The black paint was nice and all, but it gets DUSTY looking.
