when i had my q6600 on air i was idleing in the 40's and loading in the upper 60's, but it would overclock to 3.2 Ghz. then i got watercooling and my idle temps went down to around 27 and load around 40 but it wouldn't overclock past 2.9. then i re seated my waterblock but i did something wrong and my idle temps were in the 40's and load temps were in the low 60's but again it would overclock better this way... is there any good reason for this to happen? i don't understand how i can overclock higher if i have higher temps.
