There are several reasons why EVGA is a good choice.
Step-up program.
The warranty is not voided by replacing the stock cooling.
The warranty is not voided by overclocking.
I have had good luck with EVGA and its Customer Service.
Lucky you... it took two months to RMA my 6800GT... they had to hold it for two weeks to make sure it was broke, then they sent me a 6600 and I raised hell about that so they sent me a broke 7800GS (They said I broke it, as the holes sealed by that damned label on the back and it was missing so they almost did not replace it due to tampering with the heatsink) and I once again raised hell and they sent me a 7800GS that lasted for about two weeks and when I went to RMA it the warranty on the card they sent was not a lifetime or any warranty at all. And mind you, no overclocking at all.
So eVGA can go to hell. I never had any trouble with BFG or XFX, hell they don't even ask what's wrong with the card! They ask your name and addy and you send it to them and your done.
Well just in case you don't know... All the 8800GTS/GTX cards are manufactured by nVidia. Not BFG, not eVGA, not XFX, etc. So in reality, they should all overclock similarly.
Need proof? Peel off the stick on your 8800 card and tell me what's underneath.
