I didn't like it, and to be honest, I wasn't that into Quake either. Now Red Alert, that was a WHOLE different story. There was a year that you couldn't keep me off of it. And there was a good like four years that you could hold a gun to my head and tell me to never play an RTS again, and I would have looked you in the eye and said: "pull".

But...that period of RTS mania is comming again within a year or two!!! *Drum roll* STARTCRAFT 2. The word will shut down for a day on that release day and will officially be known as Blizzard Day!

EDIT: Let us hope that it is not acompanied by a blizzard though...blizzard+drivers here = car+power line = no power = no gaming.

Bio forge was hard. I got stuck very early on. I still have it and wonder if I can get it to play on a modern rig?

I remember my 1st GPU upgrade, i think it was a nvidia 6600 that came bundled with doom 3. i wasnt that impressed untill i read the instructions and realised it needed its own 4pin pci cable. was blown away that a gpu needed its own power!!! almost jizzed my pants after that when seeing the graphics biggrin.gif such a noob then lol.

I loved MDK. Highly entertaining. Good characters mixed in with a unique style of game (at the time). I believe I played it on my uber Diamond Stealth II video card.

Oh wow seeing those boxes brings back so many memories...

Command & Conquer with Convert Operations - This is what really got me into gaming, I played this for hours everyday instead of playing outside to become a well adjusted pre-teen.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert with ConterStrike & Aftermath - I remember the day Red Alert came out and walked down to Target to pick it up when it came out. Then me and my buddy spent months playing this via our 28.8 modems against each other. Then we figured out how to use Westwood Chat, that changed everything. Playing against random strangers all the time was one of the best experiences with gaming I have experienced. I still remember one guy getting upset at me and calling me "Hitler" because I built 5-6 Weapons Factories and ran as many tanks as I could into his base.
