Projected price cuts.

Thread Starter
Well, i've been searching for the last half hour looking for the predicted price cuts coming for intel. I know around July 22nd the Quad cores are all getting slashed, and intel is introducing about 5000 new dual cores between the 6420and 6850. The problem is, so far i've only been able to find some projected prices of the E65xx's and the E4500.

So what i'm looking to do, with the help from the rest here at OCN, is compile an "official" projected price cut/new release chart for our fellow members. This chart not only needs the prices for the new quad cores and high-end dual cores, but also the new prices for the E6600 and E6300-E6420's. I would start right now, but i'm a bit tied up with an open house, so i'll edit back later with all the information i have and the rest that i need.

All the prices available on the web are projected on bulk buys, and the price cuts are only happening to the Quads but from my reliable source that has never been wrong the Q6600 is being slashed by 50% and the new Q6700 will come in at the Q6600's current price.

So you're saying the current C2D's are remaining unchanged? It seems odd that a Q6600 will be $266 while the E6600 will remain $223.

How much do you guys think the QX6800 will be? If it's gonna be under $600 I will buy it

Sorry, it's already been done. Just needs the current prices filled in...

The price cuts for current cpus are precisely what i'm trying to fill in.

Sorry by the way for letting the thread die.

I have spent the last 2 days looking ALL over for projected current prices cuts and i could only find that the E4300 is gonna drop into the sub-100$ range. Other than that i'm simply interpolating what the prices could be from charts like the one above. (I.E. E6600 somewhere between 163-183$.

I do have a question tho' .... if the Q6600 is being replaced by the Q6700 at the same price the Q6600 is at now ( ~$530 ) and the QX6800 will drop from $1250 to $999 .... what will the QX6700 drop to ???

I've read that it was dropping to the $530 price ... but why would anyone buy a locked Q6700 when they can buy an un-locked QX6700 for the same price ????

You see my problem ... what pricing structure is correct ... and what will be the price of the un-locked QX6700 on July 22nd ???

Is the E4300 gonna be phased out or something? Might have to get an E4400 to ensure resell value.
