You definately want to avoid using case air to cool your rad, bleed it out good and mount on top.

Whelp I moved it up top. I think it's air free for the most part to be honest. I have shaken the radiator every which way and the case as well as I could.

I'm going to reapply the cpu block now. Be back shortly.
use thin vertical line and don't spread it, let the pressrue fo the block spread it (give a 10 degree twist after its tightened
post #25 of 37
Note the thin vertical line is if ONLY your MB mounts your chip that way. Pay attention to where the triangle corner is. The line would be vertical if that triangle is in the lower left corner, otherwise like my 680i it's horizontal.

Just reapplied. Used the line method this time. Last time i did a small rice grain whatever shorta thing. Temps seem worse but I'm going to let it run orthos for 30 min or so.

I was getting better temps just moving the radiator up top. I might have to pull the water block once more and give it another go if I don't like these temps. I have a hard time deciding how tight these nuts need to be on the posts.

How does 32c at idle on 3.42GHz with 1.425vcore sound for my setup? I reverted for the time being just to be on the safe side until I get my new 1/2" barbs to replace the 3/8" one on the radiator.

I'm also thinking the Thermalright for my mofset is going to help. I think they are just getting too hot with the little swifties on them.

Do those new temps above seem to be in the right area for what I am running?
