Help with P5N-E Overclock

Thread Starter
I just received my P5N-E changing from my Biostar 965PT and the overclocking options are much different, I can tell better but different.

What type of options should I try to use for around a 3.0ghz overclock with my E6300 (429 FSB)

I currently only have it on AI overclock 20% until I figure it out. I tried to do with manual and if I remember right I used something like.

FSB 1400 linked 1:1 ratio.
1.42 Vcore
1.39 NB Volt
2.17 memory Voltage 4-4-4-12 2T

I also tried Unlinked with them both set at 1400

No post however though....any suggestions?

Yikes guys help. I was trying to overclock my board when it froze one time and wouldnt boot back up. I pulled out the battery on the CMOS and changed the pins to clear the memory but now I can't even get it past post. Sometiems the Asus screen comes up frozen and I can't even enter setup. A few times when i enter set-up it just freezes instantly.

When it gets to the one black screen checking hardware it will say soemtimes Checksum Error. Reseting the CMOS isn't enough how should I coreect this?

Unplug everything including hard drives and such, and just plug in what needs to be plugged in to boot up.

That thread is so large to try and find anything related to this if thats what you mean. I mean come on 2049 posts or something?

It keeps freezing every time I enter set-up. Maybe I am not clearing the CMOS correctly or something? I remove it from 1-2 and put it on 2-3 and keep it there for 10 seconds or so and then re-place it back on 1-2. I have tried booting with 2-3 before on accident if that may have caused anything.
