Thread Starter
Hello Got A problem Built A new system last week consist's of Ds3r mobo,
e2140 pcu and geil 2gb ram.

Anyway when I go into bios and adjust cpu frequency from auto to manual tryed setting it at 210mhz as 200 is stock. Load windows click cpu-z and its showing still 1.6ghz stock

Now when I go back into bios it has set its self back on auto and I am saving before leaving bios?

Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks Ashley

You have C1E enabled in BIOs. Go to the main page of your BIOs screen. Go into Advance option on the left. Look for something that reads like, "CPU Enhancment (C1E). What this feature does is turn your clock down when you're idle to power save. I like to leave mine on.

Sometimes, CPU-Z will not show something correctly. Download and install PC Wizard, and click on the CPU icon on the left when you have it open.

At this point, I have no idea.

What do you mean by, it's going back to auto?

Well everytime I go into bios I have to click from auto to manual on cpu host clock control to change the cpu host frequency or is this normall?

And when I change pci frequency to 100mhz from auto that always goes back to auto but when I change system voltage control to manual thats stays on manual if you see what I mean?

Also once saved and exit bios it turn's its self off about 3x before loading as normal.

That used to happen to me as well. I didn't do anything but kept trying different clocks and didn't even realize I didn't get that problem anymore. Instead of 210Mhz, try 215Mhz. Set your CPU voltage to 1.3v.
