Great choices both the proc and the mobo are good, I should know I have that mobo. But I hope you dont plan on heavy overclocking as the mobo has a relatively low ceiling for it

you can save about 20 bucks on the CPU by going to newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115016

EDIT: also save 20 bucks with the mobo. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130082.

Oh yeah, and this is imy first build, Im a little timid about installing the CPU, mostly about apply the thermal paste, I ordered some Arctic Silver 5. Worried I will put to much or not enough and it cause the spu to overheat or I will get it all over the place

I wouldn't trust the PSU with that case if you are overclocking or putting in some decent video cards.

all you need is a BB sized drop in the center of the CPU.. then the pressure of the Heatsink will spread the thermal paste as needed. DO NOT spread it around prior to applying the heatsink.

looks nice though, tigerdirect was where i bought my firsrt computer part, however, newegg.com has better prices and selection.

Good luck, and remember to use the brass motherboard mounts with the case... i fried my first mobo by ignoring them
