Insane framerates! Although I really would never actually play anything at 640x480, my point was that pretty much all games will play fine on most hardware at that resolution.

Most professional gamers run their games in this resolution when they play in tournaments.

I think for my system....I will be able to run games that come out over the next year at high settings without any problems because game designers will keep programing better and better graphic optimizer programs for all users ranging from the 7600 to the 8800gtx or the x1800 to the x2900xt(x). I don't think games are getting to demanding because from what I have seen there is always going to be a graphic/performance download when there is a game that can't run on a certain graphics card with at least 30FPS. For my card it was ATI catalyst 7.5.

most games out now will run extremely well on a top end $2500 system and will most likely run better with the new components that comeout next spring. but realisticly how much better can they look... hopefully gamesdevelopers will focus more on quality of a game than to how good it looks.

Perfect example of that - Goldeneye on the N64 - I could play that on multiplayer for the rest of my life...........no one cares about the graphics

As do I. Storylines are much more important than graphics; games like Deus Ex are classic and it's a shame noobs who want nothing but the latest and greatest graphics have tainted the gaming market for PCs.

I would say lower hardware prices and raise game prices.

I know a PC khas many uses but the Console gamers get it easy with hardware
