I don't think games are to demanding. Thats what the settings are for. For people with really nice rigs you can turn everything up and the game looks great but people with older hardware can just turn the settings down and the core gameplay remains. I played Oblivion almost all the way through on my 3400+, 1gb of ram, and a Radeon 9550. The game played fine. So why would developers not push the envelope in terms of graphics when the games can just scale down to play on lesser hardware?
