Budget amd build

Thread Starter
I'm building my mom a cheap computer for her birthday so she doesn't have to use her old pentium 1 any more, this will also be folding 24/7.

I already have the hard drive and case. My budget is around $185, and this is the best I could do. Here's the Wish list are these good parts?

I suggest getting a el cheopo case that comes with a PSU already, that could save you some dough.

And why not get the 64nm 3600? It has a bunch of combo deals as well.

After that you basically go with the lowest bidder lol.

Most psu's included in cases aren't very good...especially if the case is only $40-$50. I'm just worried it might fail and take the rest of the pc with it.

Edit: Ok, I added the 65nm 3600, thanks for the tip!

There's a combo with a 3600+ Brisbane and ECS motherboard at newegg. Click the front page where it says AMD combos.

She's going to be learning how to do basic things like typing and checking email, etc. And I want the dual core for folding.

Edit: Go chozart! Found a way to squeeze in a gig of ram!
