Processor Speed not Right

Thread Starter
I recently realized that my AMD 3200 is running at 900mhz. and I cannot figure out why or how to change it. I got this info from the boot screen

Phoenix AwardBIOS V.600pg K8m800 if that helps at all.

I think the board is an ABIT KV85 rev 2.0

I know there are progams to check this kind of stuff out but I cannot remember where or what they are called.

Normally discrepancies are caused by Cool N' Quiet, but that sure is a big drop. Have you tried a BIOS update? What does CPU-Z report?

Your multiplier is set way too low, go into bios and make sure cool and quiet is disabled, then change the multiplier to the max it will go.

No, that's just cool and quiet. Disable it through the BIOS.
