^ Yeah, I wanted to put two pata hard drives and one dvd burner. I have a lot of pata hard drives, so I don't really want to use sata yet. Let me look through these first.

I guess I'd go with the Gygabyte DS3. Seems to be popular among everyone's respone, pretty good deal right now too. Rep for all who replied. Thanks alot.

I recommend you get the Gigabyte 965P-DS3 Rev 1.3, and I recommend you just try to get a SATA burner or something, so you can use the PATA single port for two IDE hard drives.

If you haven't bought a burner yet, the SATA Samsung burner is $39, so it's only like $6-7 more than the IDE DVD burner.

^ Oh thanks that's helpful. There is still time since this could be my future rig, but first need to get the money, hoping within the summer I can get about 2k. So still a lot of debating issues going on, so I still have much more to learn. Thanks for everyone's help again.

Well nope. But mostly concentrating on fixing the other two computers. That biostar is killing the hell out of me, 5 RMA's waiting for my LAST one, if doesn't work, going with that 1.3 rev gigabyte board. And the ASUS board, I sent a few times back, and they sent it back to me, but they really really told me the problem with it... So I'm not really a fan of ASUS anymore either. Though, I really LOVE that board.
