Laptop Graphics Overclockable?

Thread Starter
Just wondering if the ATi Mobility Radeon x1100 is overclockable. I've tried ATiTool and Rivatuner but both fail to recognize the chip(driver issue?). I noticed when I download the drivers from ATi's site it is shown as "ATi Xpress Series" in device manager. Just looking to get a little more power outta the thing since I cant stand getting 35FPS in CSS.

Also running PC wizard and other bench programs I noticed it was listed as a Xpress200....

lol i wouldnt oc it because laptops have very poor heat dissipation, but im sure theres SOME way to ghetto mod it if u really wanted to waste some time, since atitool doesnt recognize it

oh ...xpress200 means onboard crap graphics lol so no u probably cant

Yea its integrated graphics. The X1150 is the same chip but it runs @ 400mhz instead of 300mhz I think. I wasnt planning on OCing more than that.

ok lets get the definitions straight first

Integrated graphics:
(example: 200 express)
uses your processor for the gpu, your ram for the video ram
very poor performance, extremley difficult to try to overclock; typically found on HP, DELL, Compaq, etc etc

Dedicated graphics:
(example geforce go 7700)
have their own GPU/video ram
for example yours is a GPU at 300Mhz, and whatever ram at whatever Mhz

its impossible for your GPU to be an integrated graphics chip then u see...so u MAY be able to oc it
