I would like to know how to fix the problem where when i installed ie 7 my webpages file doesn't have the big E icon anymore, but in fact have a black icon which only happen usually when it doesn't associates with anything.

I mean the webpages on the computer. Like a .html files. I don't want firefox.

Open My Computer, Tools > Folder Options... then click the File Types tab and find .html go to its options and change the icon.

I second the motion (sas if you care), while browsers like opera are pretty neet, I haven't tried one that can handle pdf files.

I.E 7 is a hog, love to hate it, bit buggy, but it does seem to be pretty predicable.

Hate to say it but while IE7 is a real memory hog, so is Firefox.
Also, I've always hated Firefox's inability to open EXEs right from websites. Sure, some would say it's a security risk, but that doesn't mean prevent the user from doing it entirely...when I reinstall my OS, I only use IE to reinstall programs, cause having to save every one of the installers in Firefox is a total pain in the ass.
Other than that, to me it's beginning to seem like IE 7 and Firefox are now more and more similar, so I've just been using the former, out of a lack of needs to switch.

I would also like to know why when i open links from other program it doesn't start in a new tab in the ie 7 window like it said in the option.
