No, gonX is perfectly correct.

Blob in the middle of the CPU's heatspreader about the size of a grain of rice, clamp down the heatsink, and your done. If you've ever seen under the IHS of a CPU you will know that the actual die is only about the size of your finger nail. No need to spread the paste to the edges. You only have to do that to naked dies.

Trust me, I've tried the razor blade method, the sandwhich bag (My choice for dies), and the blob all on IHS's and the blob works best.

So your opinion, no offense mate, is wrong!

Btw, heres a pic of a CPU die so you can understand what Im getting at and you'll understand why you don't have to spread the paste out that much.

So you only really need to transfer heat effectively from the centre of the CPU. Core 2 CPu's are much the same, although some use a bead resting along the orientation of the die under the IHS instead of just a blob!

Hope that helps!

LOL i completely forgot that your cpu was AMD. my bad for the intel TAT.

i thought u had a core 2. umm, yeah you should go with core temp. its definently more correct.

and if you want another one, try mbm 5 i think..
just google motherboard monitor download. and download it.

select your mobo and it should be correct.
