I dont even think you can buy a board that supports the Barcelonas can you?

Any ways a 400 to 500MHz boost is only in the range of 2.0-2.1GHz right,Didnt some review board overclock it that hight and that was there max?
There was also a post on that site with some guy talking about a Barcelona with a new stepping that did 3.0GHz,for AMDs sake I how that is true( but most likely not)And what did that have to do with the BIOS update thing? I thought that they were going to talk about the new CPUs not working on AM2 or somthing.

As far as i'm aware it is compatible with current AM2 mobo's.

hopefully it will support it as AMD kept changing the sockets in the past years more often.

I know that the Phenom x4 work on AM2,I thought that you where talking about the Barcelonas wich are going to use the 1207+ socket not AM2,the Budapest core is what the AM2 Opteron use not the Barcelona. And the quad core Phenoms use the Agena core. There is a hole page on this stuff at wikiapedia If you whant to learn more,Just type in AMD K10 and it will come up.

Anandtech also said that Barcelona will be delayed because they are having problems running the chips at higher clockspeeds.

If that's truth AMD's really in trouble. Hopefully the ATi chipset and video card revenue will help them survive this.
