Compatibility problem with 8800gts and X-fi-Music

Hey all its a long time no posting, thats when whe have no problems right ?

Here is my case:
I installed my new 8800gts in my system, rebooted afther the install of the drivers and clash, wmp nor winamp could play a song .... I reboot ... same problem. I tried to reinstall the drivers of my Xfi but still the same problem. Ok then I changed the 8800gts for an 7300gs and there it worked fine playing a song! So then I decide to use an ghost immage to redo my install. There big problems booting to windiws with the 8800gtx installed net with the 7300gs and without the Xfi. So I think the drivers of the Xfi and Nvidia's drivers are working against eachother. My last option is to do a clean format and install a clean Win Xp Pro Sp2.

Very frustrating, because it worked fine with mine 7900Gto .

Someone heard or read about an issue like this ?

ok no matter what you'll probably need to reinstall ur OS. but it sounds liek a addressing error. in other words move your SPU to a differt slot and it'd probly fix it. als omake sure you have all of your mobo drivers installed.

Funny, cause i'm having the EXACT same problem with my new x-fi extrememusic soundcard. I installed the soundcard and proceeded to installing the most recent x-fi drivers and when it's nearly finished installing, I would get a bsod. I've been working on this for hours and can't seem to find a possible solution for this either.
