I used a mac back in 8th grade, worst experience I have ever had. I had so much trouble navigating around and even typing at first. I felt like I was using a damn Ipod for a computer with it's stupidly dumbed down interface. It was slower than the regular PCs they had in the computer labs and those PCs were 2 years older than the macs.

I'm sorry that you're still holding a grudge against something you used back in middle-school.

The general consensus is that technology advances and things get better. You'd think that people on Overclock.net would know that.

I hated Macs back then, as well. And refused to use one up until about two years ago.

I don't exactly hate apple, it's just when people say their OS is better than Windows. No options, no customizability. Sure, it'd be great for the average joe who doesn't know what a processor is and calls the graphics card a display slot. But for the more-than-average person a mac would be a headache because of so little software support and so little hardware support.
You've clearly never used the finder, cause the finder doesn't search for things. It's the basic file structure browser thinger. Spotlight is the search tool, and it's amazing.

Oh, and this thread is FULL of fanboys of both sides. People...do you realize that the best gaming laptop at the moment is probably the macbook pro? Do you realize that Apple's OS X is just as customizable as Windows, given it's based on Unix? (You can change just about anything if you try hard enough).

Did you know that you can get 0 viruses on a PC if you aren't an idiot? Did you know that Windows comes with cool apps such as calculator and minesweeper? (That's a joke...)

Anyways...I have both...I love both...

I'll be getting Leopard when it's out...cause it looks like a decent upgrade. I hope they have an upgrade price, though...cause paying 129 for the OS is gonna be

Probably poking fun at Vista's numerous versions. Notice that they have the exact same versions as Vista... Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, Ultimate.

It's not an upgrade, it's a completely different OS and I doubt there'll be upgrade Prices.

Finder does a small amount of what Spotlight does, but Spotlight blows Vista's search away.

There's good to both OS'. And, as I'm about to REPEAT, it'd only do "fanboys" better to learn about the other rather than throwing it down the disposal based on how you "feel".

yes we pay for an OS, and we keep it for 6 years, you pay for an OS, you pay for an OS, and you pay for an OS, remember Max's service packs are 129, windows Service packs are free. If you bought MacOSX 10.0 then when 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 and then 10.4 came along there is another 129 out the door. Windows is cheaper, our updates are free.

Please, don't post anymore. Your ignorance is reflected in your inability to conjure coherent sentences.

However, the Macbook is not the best gaming laptop out right now. The Asus A1 still towers over it, offering an 8600M for DX10 support and a Higher resolution display than the lower tier Apple Macbook Pro... for less money.

At the same time, the Macbook's pricing is NOT AT ALL BAD. It's great, in fact.

Please, don't post silly things like 1) Having too money. 2) Don't know how to use a computer.

I use OS X daily, I make my living, and I sure as hell know my way around Windows OS and OS X.

Get a job.
