I removed the .ttf fonts from the Safari.resources folder and it fixed it.

If not, try this-->

http://discussions.apple.com/thread....2780&tstart=15

OK, here it goes:
-Disabled dirver signing - Set to 'IGNORE' (My XP kept repairing itself if set to 'WARN.')
-Removed the folder name and renamed it to something else.
-Removed the ttf fonts from the folder.
-Launched app. and the got error.
-Renamed folder back again ('Safari.resources').
-Launced app and it now working with 'ugly' looking fonts.

Mac has worse security than windows, just less people trying to strain it.

Shame, apple's site claims that Safari is the fastest browser, and Safari just got run over by FF2...at least on my system.

Took FOREVER to load apples startpage.

After having used Safari for about 30 minutes, I can definitely say that it feels like a beta. Overall it does seem really fast, much faster than Firefox was on this old computer of mine, but there are a couple of nagging issues that I'd like to explain. For one, I can't click on the scroll wheel and then move the mouse to quickly navigate to the top of a page, and since I did that constantly in Firefox, I'll have to learn not to if I stay with Safari. The other one, which definitely will be corrected by the time Safari 3 is officially released, is that I can never set it to not record history. I don't like my browser recording my history because it takes up valuable system space and memory I could be using for things I want to use it for. Plus, I don't want my parents to see where I've been . Other than that, I have no outstanding issues with Safari and will probably be using it for a long time to come.

I had issues loading the Apple startpage, too, but everything else loaded faster than Firefox or Opera did. Maybe the page is getting flooded by people trying out Safari.

Of course not. They just say it's better because almost all of their user base believes everything they say.

I like Safari. But I think I'll stick with Fire Fox. I'm not sure yet. I'm going to download it though...
