Dual Monitor Issue - please please help!

Hi, I'm using a Daewoo W9Zq 19" Widescreen 5ms with an LG1720b 17" in dual screen mode. I recently had to restore my system, but have come across a huge issue. Whenever I open most games, the game maximises to the widescreen primary monitor, but then minimizes to desktop while the sound continues. I noticed the 17" monitor appears to resize its wallpaper and desktop icons as if the application is trying to extend onto that screen or the resolution is simply not responding while the game is trying to maximise on the widescreen. Some games work but mostly new games just will not accept the resolution or something, therefore they will not maximise. Tiberium wars will not go past a black screen, minimizes to desktop, R6 Vegas shows intro logos but then minimizes when the game menu is about to appear. I think something is having a problem sorting out the gaming resolution on my monitor. All catalyst drivers are upto date. I've tried older version of the drivers, re-configuring etc etc. Nothing seems to work. Could anyone help me out? thanks

my problem is solved.

A member told me to try ending xboxstat.exe, for my xbox 360 controller. it was giving me the problem. It was if i tried to full screen any window at a res other than my native desktop res, which some games start with 640x480 videos or menus.
