I bumped it down some more to run A LITTLE more stable to 250 from 252 (CPU External Frequency). It's at 3.75 now. Here's my memory tab from CPU-Z:

Even after bumping it down to 2.75 (250 cpu ext freq) it just froze again on me during COD2 multiplayer and I was pwn' ppl like it was nobody's business had to reboot and crap thus a score reset...pfooey.

Looks like your memory timings are perhaps too tight for the speed. Make sure they're set to manual and set to stock timings.

Not too sure what the timings are supposed to be stock. I got the RAM out of a buddies Alienware. PC3200 I tried searching numbers off the heatspreaders a year or so ago but didn't find too much info on them.

Maybe this'll help:

I actually bumped it down a bit but even at that voltage idle is 30 full load is 36 believe it or not. I believe I mentioned in an earlier post I have good Zalman stuff on my CPU and GPU as well as an air conditioner about 7 feet away at full blast, while we are at it 4 8mm's and 1 120mm fans.

Yes at 66.66/33.33.

What I did last night was set the DRAM Frequency to Auto thinking maybe it can automatically be controlled better and that may mean below a locked 266 MHz which I can't manually set below that. I then locked my RAM's voltage to 2.65.

I also bumped the CPU voltage to 1.7v. I know I'm going to get flac for this but I've read in many places for my chip this is ok. AND YES I KNOW I'm air cooled but very decent air cooling (see specs in sig). I ran Orthos next to Asus Probe. Orthos ran without errors for 5 minutes (getting tired late at night so I stopped it). The peak temp during Orthos Asus Probe reported was 46 C.

Before the adjustments described above I was only EVER able to run Orthos for approximately a minute, average 35 seconds. I think we are getting somewhere. Currently at 3.81 MHz.

So are you still using a game for stress testing? Or if you're not, have you done REAL stress testing to see if your rig really is stable--I only ask because there are so many things that can cause your rig to crash while gaming, and CPU/OC stability might not be the issue--perhaps a driver conflict/error, or a bug in the program? Seriously, just run orthos for hours and see if it comes up with any errors--a few minutes is not a good test (unless of course if it crashes in a few minutes--then your OC ain't stable, obviously)--if not, then your OC is stable and you have a problem with COD2.

Did you systematically go through the overclocking--finding max FSB, max CPU, max mem? It's the easiest way to figure out if you've hit your stable OC limit--instead of guess-and-check with games.

Well, hopefully it's just a bug in the COD2 install or a driver error and you can get the OC higher. Temps look great--good luck!

Sounds like you may have gotten a lowly CPU stepping then. I once had an athlon 64 that took serious voltage just to overclock by 400mhz.

Anyway, if that is the case then you can either give it some serious juice and risk the lifetime of the CPU (why not, it's just a pentium 4 after all) or leave it at your best stable setting with lower voltage.
