Exactly. Whether you a fan of Intel's chips or not, their alleged business practices are indefensible. I say "alleged" only because it hasn't been proven in court yet...but it's pretty clear that Intel engaged in monopolistic practices to keep its customers from also purchasing from AMD. The only way they are going to win the suit is through either some legal maneuvers that we mere mortals won't understand, or a settlement of some kind.

nvidia brand processors!!?!?!!!!!
or maybe some mystery brand called cyrix?

---
intel has always been ahead in advertisement. because with around half of the population not knowing that there has been another processor brand out there due to them also not knowin that they can build there own systems they always went out and bought some dell with a nice looking p4 sticker on the front of it. and with half the population going with what they know what works ( dells dont work ) and afraid to try anything else they stick with intel.
and then 3 years later intel comes out with this core2duo and they went from being right under amd to 10x above because they have always had loyal customers. i can definatly say they made an awesome processor.
if only i had seen more than 3 amd commercials in my life.

Thats my exact opinion also.

What you all must realize is that this ISNT the first time amd has gone into problems.
Oh yes, Intel has given AMD a thrashing a few times before, but they're a really resilient company - sure this is one of the hardest blows, but hopefully, they'll bounce back.

As for the people who are happy Intel is winning this rat race (that amd - had they NOT forgotten what a monster intel is, with regards to their manufacturing resources and capabilities, can do could have avoided!) - I pity you

What, just what do you think will happen when intel dominates the market....

Hell yeah. I'm on the middle stages of finalizing my own CPU. Haven't come up with a name, though. Maybe Dave .
