If you can... then it's fine, but there's no way you can be 100% on it

Question: What are you trying to achieve with the bag of ice, other than the obvious cooling of the HS.? Your fans not doing the trick? There may be other solutions...

wouldn't advise it...

Trying to fry a buddies old HP Brio....

Same idea. Bag broke. We had the bag SITTING on the mobo...

Needless to say, it caught fire for a short period. (Like 5 secs).

Enough to melt the bag. Fun stuff.

I don't even know why that would be that useful. If you could ensure a good seal, the ice would still melt in a matter of minutes and would be warm water. Then you have nothing more than a WC loop with a broken pump.

Did you mean something like this?
i could see how it could work, if you used elastic bands to hold it on the HS while the case is vertical.
eg. ____________________________
|___________________________| <---- GFX
|__________________| <-----HS
|________________| <-----ice ice baby...

|_____________________| <----tub to catch cndnstn.
as for cpu cooling, even worse idea. condensation WOULD drip down onto NB HS's your GFX card and the Mobo, whereas the GFX card condensation would only theoretically drip onto the bottom of the case or into a tub.

One huge worry is if the plastic melted....RMAll the way
(it would only work for about 5 seconds anyway, so this entire thread has been pointless.... Thankyou for reading...lol)
