Good program for keeping up to date drivers

I have seen many programs that claim to do this, but, who knows the best program that will:

scan your machine and advise of drivers that are old and link you to the newest driver?

Windows Update will do it for some things...
However, for non-DirectX 10 graphics cards, they probably already have the best drivers you'd want, as they're not really providing updates that improve older cards. (I'm not sure how old the X1300 is)

Gabe Newell is constantly asking NVIDIA/ATI for stuff like this...

What about other hardware. i.e. mobo, monitor, optical drives and so fourth.
