Which 8800gts should i need? - Page 2

Break the extra $100 and go with the 640MB version. I run my games at 1440 x 900. On STALKER, the most demanding game I have, @ Full Dynamic Lightings will everything manually to max, I get an average of 30FPS. I would say the 320MB would do worse.

You can always SLI a 640MB version and beat the single card GTX, but one GTX is cheaper. Your decision.

but is it really a bad idea to get another 640mb in the future and SLI the two 8800s because of my cpu?
You would get better FPS, but not by much. SLi is used for 1920x1200 and above. You will see a minimal gain between two 8800GTS's in SLi and one 8800GTX at that resolution.
