DS3 rev 3.3 > 1.3?

well some of you may know i killed my mobo awhile ago and bought a new rev 1.3 DS3 to replace it while the otehr board got RMA'd.

well i got all my stuff back from teh egg today.

new tuniq tower,
new g15,
and unfourtunatly an open box DS3... BUT it's a rev 3.3.

you can tell it's used, it's still got TIM on the socket a little, and the "gigabyte" ontop of the NB HS(which is alot bigger on the 3.3 ) is partialyl rubbed off.

I can't fully test teh board w/o ripping out my CPU and stuff, and i don't really wanna do taht right now... but anyway.

is the 3.3 better than teh 1.3, enough so it'd be worth replacing the new 1.3 in my rig now?

and should newegg really have sent me this "open box unit"(all taht came was the mobo in some anti-static wrap, no cables, instructions, etc.) I sent the old mobo to them w/ everything in he box that came w/ it so...

I kno killing the board was my fault, and this is like the 3rd time i've RMA'd the board. So morally on my end i suppose i shouldn't be complaining. However, I gave them back all of their cables and such so they still get to send those back to gigabyte...

ok maybe i should have jsut put this in the rants/raves section, lol. Sry if it's a stream of thought here, i'm a bit tired, didnt get much sleep, oh well; nap time awaits

They should replace everything even if it's your 21978th RMA...

Contact them via their cs and ask then what the heck happened. They may send you "goodies".. Say I have no cables to connect the MB and everything is gone and I can't even test it?

The Rev3.3 supports 1333fsb and Quad-Core CPUs, the other Rev doesn't.

Anyhow, call egg and tell them about the missing stuff, they should give you the stuff back, after all, you pay for it and it should be sent back to you as well.

i thought rev. 1.3 and even 1.0 did, but 3.3 did natively.
