Water Cooling: I can't do it. - Page 3

run to the CPU before the NB and also, your drain line may want to come from the NB area. You want it to be the lowest point in your loop.

[edit] i was following the loop backwards. But you still need your drain line to be lower.

... wait, did i follow it wrong.

List your order, starting at the pump how you want the devices to go.

Is your loop going like this: pump -> cpu -> nb -> drainline -> rad -> pump

If it is, you may want to think about trying to get it more like this:

pump -> rad -> CPU -> NB -> pump

This will give you the coolest water on your CPU. I really doubt it'll make too much of a difference, but if you have the room and ability to change the loop like that, it woudl be best.

[edit] and pump will be ok there.

Is that why you spent all the $$$ ???

I hope not, but anyway, I hope you reconsider the CoolIt cooler, I would be interested to know how well it works..

Also, if you've got $$, consider phase. Once you insulate your board and cpu socket, you're good to go and at very pleasing temps..

I've never had any leaks or problems after 9 months (tapping knuclkes on wood table. (TKOWT?))

Yea, only thing i can think of changing is getting that drain line back lower... but it seems like you really want to hide that line. It'll work over there, but may be a bit harder to drain.

OK. Thanks. REP+

I gotta drill four holes tonight then. This Case is .05mm aluminum. It is going to be fun.

Here is my setup I have decided on:

Swiftech Apogee CPU
Swiftech MCW30 NB Cooler
Eheim 1250 110v Pump
Dual 120 Radiator + Fans.
