AMD 5600+ at 3.35ghz

Thread Starter
Here are my computer specs.
Foxconn 590 SLI am2 mobo
dual Nvidia 8800gts in SLI
AMD x2 5600+ am2 processr + arctic freezer 64 pro heatsink/fan
2gigs(4x512mb) Kingston HyperX pc6400 DDR2 800 ram.
so on...

I originally started overclocking with an expected result of 3.1ghz. Boy were the reviews wrong. Right now I am testing 3.45ghz. My highest stable oc is 3.35ghz which can be seen here http://www.tabsite.net/5600oc.bmp

I need to re-run 3dmark06 now at 3.45ghz. Here is 3dmark06 when i was at 3.15ghz. http://service.futuremark.com/orb/re...=0&UID=9606323

Anyways, i'll post again later. Just wanted to share my results so far.

artic freezer 64 pro http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185125

I have my volts at 1.45 for CPU (+0.1) and mem at 2.05 from 1.900. memory is warrenty'd up to 2.1v so still have some headroom. and cpu I'd feel fine going up to 1.55v.

my temps are pretty good too about 33idle and never going over 50c FULL load. I get around 45 tops gaming

Built this computer myself in May 2007 (first full build I've done)

Has tons of cooling so I could OC safely. I didn't want to go with water but I wanted good air. Have a 3bay 120mm fan sucking in from the front. Then the CPU fan pulls that air in and pushes it out towards the back 120mm fan. Along with that I have the side 80mm fan. and 2 fans by the hard drive, one in the front one on the side without a glass panel.(120mm and 90mm)

Awesome.

Great OC, too.

Nice clean looking build, what are the rest of your specs? Fill out your system in the usercp tab. I am really glad to see the AMD chips going places with the OC next stop 4ghz, lol.
