What are you running to test stability? Orthos? Or are you using 3Dmark?

I test stability by playing an itumes movie while playing Call Of Duty 2. If I can play during the whole movie without freezeups or any pausing or problems, I consider the system stable. I also run a virus scan during this, however, the virus scan usually only lasts for about 25 to 35minutes of the 2 hour test.

3dmark06 i also run first during every speed increase. this is to quick test for stability before doing my above listed method, and also just to see what numbers I get.

Ok. I've got nearly an identical setup as you. Right now I'm stuck at 3.25ghz stable running Orthos. I've tried running higher, but fails Orthos. If you'd be willing, would you run Orthos and let me know if your setup is stable?

To get higher, I really didn't need to up my vcore all that much. I went from 1.35v only to 1.425 to achieve my max so far. The main inscreases I had to do were in ram. Upping it a lot quick. After slowly upping it for a while I simply set it to its max warrenty'd value at 2.1v.

You probably already know all this, but try upping your ram voltage. Another reason you may get different results then me is well of course no 2 oc's will be the same, the main reason is everyone has dif computer parts. My ram i've found reviews on that it goes up to about 990mhz. I've got mine up around that and all is good, however, if you have lower quality ram, your OC is going to be lower.

ALSO, be very careful when OC'ing ;p Do not move up unless you are stable at your current values. I was having fun and oc'd a 5600+ to 3.5ghz. Loaded windows but wasn't stable. Don't know what I was thinking(I was kinda drunk at the time ;p) but then instead of trying to get stable I went to bios and while upping the vcore/vmem I also upped the FSB and got it around 3.65. This caused the system to crash compeltely. Mobo wouldn't even post anymore.

So if you don't get as high results, just be careful, don't push it unless ur stable.
