P5NE-SLI & Zalman 9500AT

The NB heatsink looks pretty bulky, has anybody had trouble with said fan and motherboard with regards to installation? I've been looking all oevr the internet and can't find anybody who has asked or answered this question.

I think you just might need to trim a hair off of the NB Heatsink for this CPU cooler, but I know for a fact that the ThermalRight HR-05 SLI HS works great on this particular MB with the Zalman 9500

Oh Crumb.. I'd sure hate to have to shave part of the northbridge off. That couipled with the fact that I'm afraid I'll do it wrong.. haha.

Actually it would be fairly easy, just make sure you use a fine FLAT file to file down just enough. Also, make sure that you take the HS OFF the MB 1st, then do your little bit of modding. Then again, it may fit just fine. I never actually tried the stock NB HS so I wouldn't know about it! Check the P5N-E SLI thread in the Intel MB section of the site and I'm sure you'll find and answer there. Here's the Link.

Oh and PS it's P5N-E SLI, the dash doesn't go between P5NE-SLI hehe

I think there are a few people with the 9500... meet me over in that thread and we'll discuss

Ahh perfect, right on the first page it says 9500 is compatible. Thank you! I looked at that thread earlier and was daunted by the 100+ pages I would have to scour through. Thank you!
