Most of the time OCing generates alot more heat than a stock cooler can handle, so you won't have a stable system if your overheating.

Nice to hear Odie!!

What if I added: "Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 2200RPM 40CFM Heatsink Fan"?

I think that maybe for now, I will try with stock cooling and then take it from there...?

Odie, I cant seem to find a guide for the Athlon 64 X2 3800+ AM2...

Can anyone give me a hand? As you probably noticed, I am very new to this!

One more question, once the process is started, can I go back to default settings?

I am pretty new at oc'ing, and I have no clue how your mb bios works, find someone who has the same mb, and I am sure they can help you oc the cpu. I have a multi of 10 x 250 right now and my mb auto adj's my ram 1:1 with cpu.

If the Overclocking process is started, is there a way to "restore settings"?

From the guides that I have read, everything happens from the Bios?
