7900gs problem

I am having a problem with my video card, and I don't know what it could be. I thought maybe it was overheating, but I don't believe so. I checked it today and it was running at 52c and this after playing a couple of games. Last night my room was quite a bit warmer, and I noticed the temps were up to about 62c. Isn't this hot? It is hard to keep my room cool once it heats up since the AC doesn't really blow much into my room.

I wasn't sure where to ask my question so I thought I would start here. Latley when I play games my card will play the game for sometime and suddleny lock up. When this happens it only stays that way breifly, and then it frees up and continues playing. Is my card damaged? I haven't overclocked it at all. It still does it when cool so it must not be a heat problem but I'm not sure. Any help is useful.

Your temp is O.K. But to make sure download this:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...ity-Test.shtml

Now run it on one side of the screen while monitoring your temps on the other side. My card goes to about 74 with the stock cooler so....

Let me know how it goes.

It reports an error right away. It says "EartDX9[1007]" as the heading.

Then underneath it says: Plug and Play Monitor
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS
1280x1024
WIN5.1 Service Pack 2
DirectX 9.0c installed
Generic application error.

Any ideas? I mailed this to the company.
