Like anybody wants a crappy version with only a 20gb hdd and no backwards compatibility with ps2 games.... get the 80 people, or least ebay for a 60.

You CAN play games up to 1080, but they are upscaled, since not all the games (most of them at least) are native to 720 resolution.

I just do not see why people kid themselves, when they think the PS3 is the utmost wonderful system of mankind. It is only decent at best. With titles that are only half decent themselves. But then again, Xbox360 sucks too.

Please get your facts straight, the 20gb is fully compatible with PS2 games.

And what do you really NEED 80gb for? Music and movies you can stream from another PC anyways, nothing that you download from PS Store is that big. Sure, you can install linux on the drive, but how much space does that really take up?

Not to mention the 20gb looks the best, all black ftw

My bad; I meant the 40gb; BUT the 20gb and the 60gb still are not as backwards compatible with as many ps2 titles as the 80gb.

Why do I need 80gb? Well, my Linux partition is 20gb to start with, and full of tons of apps including a remote desktop app that lets me connect to my Vista PC. :-)
Plus I download a lot of games.

BTW: you cannot stream to/fro using the media connect of the PS3 if you have a linksys wrt54g or gs... look it up; you have to disable that function of the PS3 or you can't connect to the PS network. Granted, Linksys claims a firmware update will fix it by April, but that's not 'til April...

Cheap looking chrome? Looks good to me

I love my chrome

Just updated this with Firmware 2.10's functionality. And I threw in a seriously out of focus youtube video showing PSP/PS3 remote play in action.

agreed. i'm pretty sure the 80gb doesn't have as much compatibility. the 20 and 60 basically have a ps2 inside

and my ps3 streams just fine with my linksys rounter....

20 and 60gb have the PS2 CPU and GPU in them, and offer pretty much full compatibility. The 80gig model has only the GPU, and emulates the CPU at a small compatibility cost. The 40gig model has no PS2 parts, and offers no ps2 compatibility, but still does ps1 games if you care.

Who plays ps1 games?? My cell phone plays better games. As for compatibility, I gave up ever PS2 game except God of War II and GTA San Andreas when I made the switch.

EDIT: Oh, and one of the FF's.
