What would cause this?

D:

Two weeks ago. Running fine. No problems. Windows started to get cluttered to the point where I backed up my stuff, formatted my whole HDD, and reinstalled Windows.

Installed Windows XP Pro -- I had to download the copy since I couldn't find my disc -- just used my CD Key. Went smooth.

I forgot to install CoreTemp. I download, install, try to run it, and my computer crashes. Black screen, then restarts. I reboot, and I try to open it again, consistently opens, no problems. Figure it was just a bug.

Forgot to install Photoshop, too. Install photoshop. It's all installed, I go to run it for the first time on the new install. Gets about halfway loading the brushes, and it crashes. Black screen, then restarts. I reboot, try to open it again, consistenly opens, no problems. Figure it was just (another) bug.

Two days ago, I'm trying to break my record in Super Pi (which, I did) and I was able to boot at 485FSB, which I haven't been able to do before. Cool deal. Well, I go to run Othos, to test stability. Click start, is going. About 5 minutes in, I go to open CoreTemp, and it restarts. :***:

I reboot, don't open Orthos -- just try to open CoreTemp. I did that about 5 times and every time I tried to open it, it crashed. The last time, it finally worked.

Yesterday, I go install the Windows SMP client. I install it, launch it, it asks for my info, it starts folding. It gets about 2% done when I relize I typed "TheP_ook" instead of "The_Pook." I close out, restart and go to the config, and...it restarts. Black screen, then restarts. I reboot, try to launch F@H again, same thing. Crashes constantly.

CoreTemp seems to work fine, seeing as I've had no problems since the last time; Photoshop hasn't been giving any problems, either -- but I can't open F@H at all.

It does it anywhere from bone stock BIOS settings, to OCed where I know I'm stable, to short of suicide runs. D:

Like I said, CoreTemp and Photoshop seem fine now, and it's just SMP client for F@H. But, it randomly will do it once in a while for CoreTemp, and it's only done it that one time for Photoshop.

Problem with hardware? Windows? The programs themselves? I've uninstalled and re-installed F@H and CoreTemp at least 5 times each, and it does the same thing -- crashes and reboots.

Don't have extra sticks.
How would RAM that passed 12+ hours Orthos not work, though? D:

*edit*
Doesn't mean much, but I can game all day, no problems. It's just those programs. D:

I say it was the windows you loaded. I have a XP pro CD I could send, But it does not have SP2 included. You would have to update.
