video card troubles?

I have a question. I keep attempting to play Bf2142, and my computers components I know are good enough to play the game, especially because I was playing the game constantly up until today, when about 10 minutes into each game the thing freezes up and will not keep going. I am able to quit running the program and what not and go about other computer business. My guess is, the video card is jacked up? Any other ideas? I did just transport the thing via airplane yesterday and everything seems to be in working order.

I have the exact same problem, I try playing low requirement games. My temps are fine, i've tried different drivers, i've underclocked. And it still crashes 20 mins in and my keyboard stops responding then decides to work again but just keeps happening after 5 minutes.

Heard this started happening to quite a few people very recently. Didn't hear of any cause or solution, but it was on the EA forums.

I had the same problem awhile back. I read that 2142 launches at a default of 60Hz refresh rate. It was recommended to leave the desktop refresh rate at 60. That didn't work for me either.

What did work was deleting my profile file out of the directory and obviously losing all of the changes from default that I had made. Do this one at your own risk. I don't remember the file path, but I'm sure you can find related information through google.

I know how frustrated you are, good luck.

I am new. What do you mean by deleting my profile from the directory? File path? I am willing to make an attempt.
