Thread Starter
What's the difference between the two? The latter seems to have received far better reviews on Newegg.com:

EVGA version:

ASUS version:

I'd take the ASUS, they tend to use good parts, where as I'm not too sure about the EVGA. I've never owned any of their products, so maybe someone who has...
take the EVGA, its warranty covers EVERYTHING including death due to overclocking

Everyone would say to choose the eVGA, lol. The only differenc is clock speeds and then obviously the company. eVGA is better because say if the 8900 comes out in a couple months, you can step-up and pay the difference. And like he said, warranty on eVGA = god send.

i thought the step-up program was working only 30 days after purchase??

I'd take......actually bought the eVGA because of lifetime warranty and it's a great overclocker and it's less than the ASUS.

Mine does 650/2200 easy.

Though I wish I had bought the XFX, those cary a "Dual-Lifetime" warranty, meaning if you sell it, the 2nd buyer will have the lifetime warranty as well, whereas with eVGA, only the original owner is allowed a lifetime warranty and the 2nd owner is screwed.
