Go with the 3800x2. It might not O.C. as well as the 3500, I just don't know. But either way dual core vs. single core. I'll check which one O.C.'s better and get back to you in a sec.

Honestly I personally would take the 3800x2 although the 3500 should O.C. just a tad better.

As in overall performance, which one would be better?

Would the 3600+ X2 OC better than the 3800+X2?

Definately take that 3800 over a 3500, my 3800 runs at 2.8Ghz and will suicide at 2.9Ghz and I'm not on the best stepping.
OH YEAH. The 3600x2 is the best x2 O.C. chip. You can get 3.0 Ghz with a little aftermarket cooling love. You can get 2.6-2.8 on stock cooling with good case airflow.

Amazing, the 3600+ is selling for so cheap right now too.

After OC, the 3600+ outperforms the 3800+?
