Opteron 144 to Opteron 1210 with Benchmarks - 56k warning

Ok, just got my 1210 in today so I figure I would do some comparisons for anyone interested in seeing the change.

Just a quick recap, I went from this:

939 Opteron 144
2GB DDR500
BioStar TForce6100-939
Zalman 7000 ALCU

to:

AM2 Opteron 1210
2GB DDR2 800
BioStar TForce 550 SE
Coolermaster GeminII

- both of these processors are 1.8 ghz stock.

I initially took a bench with my 144 system with a slight OC at 2.25 ghz. Here are my results:

That was with this setup:

Then I put together this setup:

That GeminII is HUGE! hangs over my memory completely and off the edge of my mobo. I have just 1 120mm fan until I get my 2 scythe s-flexes from the Egg tomorrow.

Now I ran 3dMark again without any OC:

A pretty nice increase considering the clock speed was down 450mhz from the 939 cpu.

Then I added a comparable overclock to put the 1210 at 2.25 ghz:

Overall I am pretty impressed with this new setup. Windows bootup is noticably faster and I have yet to run any dual core specific apps. I still have alot of room to OC this chip, I am excited to see what I can get.

rundown:

cpu @ clock - 3dMark Score/CPU Score

Opty 144 @ 2.25 - 3575/802
Opty 1210 @ 1.8 - 4027/1344
Opty 1210 @ 2.25 - 4155/1622

Everything was run with the exact same system sans the specified equipment:

eVGA 7800GT 256 MB
WD Caviar 250 MB 7200 rpm
22" Wide Chimei Monitor
HIPER 530w Modular PSU
AOpen sound card

EDIT:
I noticed despite my quieter components that my system was a lot louder that before (it was near silent before). After messing around, I found out it was the tiny chipset fan on the 550 mobo. I have plenty of airflow, so I pulled the tiny fan and now it is much quieter.

Those opterons are nice chips. Wish the am2 series werenot cold bugged (for the most part) or I would probably still be messing around with them. That 1210 should allow plenty more ocing for you ecspecially with that kick but cooler you have. That thing is pretty big, now you need to get another fan on there.
What kind of temps are you getting with that thing.

Do you actually see a performance increase? I mean feel it, when your doing your everyday apps.

Yes, Windows boots faster and apps seem to load quicker.

I get my 2 120mm Scythe S-Flex fans today, and I will get into some heavier overclocks this weekend with temps.
