RAID is not up to expectations.

Thread Starter
I am only getting about 84MB/s read (300Mb/s burst) with my 2 250GB 7200.10 ES through HD tach.

I am running x64 Vista Ultimate.

Any ideas?

That's nonsense.

I have better general responses in Vista than in XP. Only think in which XP is better is gaming benchmarks (NOT gaming itself... I get actually similar or slightly better gaming performance).

Once again my fault From what I have heard Vista weakens performance but thanks for correcting me

It runs great. The benchmark just doesn't show it.

I didn't touch the drivers. I let Vista handle them.

Should I go get the drivers to install?

Might be a good idea. I know my friend's 680i RAID didn't work for crap until I installed the newest 32-bit Vista NVRAID drivers... I was getting terrible boot times and sloooooooooooow file opens.
