temp is so high in full load.......

Thread Starter
my cpu tempature will go up 20c+ when running Orthos. It doesn't matter what idle temp is, it will go 20c more when running Orthos. I have a after market hs(sunbeam silent whisper)with shin-etsu thermal paste in it.I checked the hs many times to make sure it sits very tight on my cpu. Anyone's got an idea how to lower the load temp?

Have you overclocked? I think you have too much paste. Reseat it, use less paste. If that does not help, then try to find your lowest voltages..by lowering the Vcore every time a bit.

Another option is to make a good airflow in you pc. Like 2 fans in front for intake and 2 in rear for exaust.

20C is a normal delta from idle to temp - fairly decent if you're overclocked a bit. Unless your idles are 50c or something crazy.

If you're not oc'd at all, it seems a bit much. Reseat hs, try lowering vcore if you can stay stable.

try lowering your vcore, I dropped 10c load by bringing down my vcore .2v, and I may keep lowering it, just make sure it stays stable.

minimizing your vcore truly makes a difference, run orthos when you do small decreases.

if it become unstable then you'll have to get a new heatsink to compensate for the extra heat.

Is it gonna help if i take the heatsink out and polish the copper base to make it smoother?
