I won't believe that... I'm sorry but if a E6600 and 1 8800GTX can run the game on Ultra High, than a QX6700 and 2x 8800GTX would get around 2-3x more FPS than that.

The feature would have to turns off all draw distances so they go on forever and render the entire map and makes it so no objects ever disappear after being blown up? Because thats the only way I could see that possible.

No way SLi gives it more than a 1.25-1.5x boost and even then on an insane res only. I don't think that this game will really benefit from quad core if it's CPU effects can hit ultra high (not the gfx as a whole) with an E6600.

From the wording in the quote it seems that it is an issue of tech (drivers maybe?) rather than power anyway. The G80 series is a beast in dx9, but I don't have much faith in its power to tame the flagship dx10 product.

.....have you not researched this game? Its utilizes quad core and SLI more than any other game to date (Supreme commander uses 70% CPU on a quad), right from the devs mouth. It pushes hardware further than any other game out there right now.

SLI is more efficient now, and most games that are coded for it scores around 1.9x more frames.

It's all relative. I'm basing my belief on quad-core on the fact that the cpu settings can be put on ultra-high with an E6600. How much better can a quad core really do?

I'm sure that SLi will help this game greatly, I's arguing against the whole trippling of framerate thing
