Innovatek (1x12o) rad finally arirved today, form factor reqired cutin' and hacking a new openining through the case and had to build a new, unique shroud, Be d_med if it dosnt have bigger nounting holes (not even sure if they're a threaded)

Out of curiosity, anybody have any thing good or bad about this radsmI can't find any real specs, It augments my push-pull shrouded 1x 120 Blk Ice extreme. more restrictive, cooling caapabilities caompare to the Blk Ice, etc

Thanks Croak

O.K. If you care, got my second rad this week and all the plumbing I need. Case has been hacked up and Frankensteined/ modded with a "donor" mid tower. Necessary tweaks required some changes in the look, kind’a cool though so I’m running with it.

Pics up this weekend I swear.

Here’s the latest. Just in time for the bios on my ds3 to pop it’s lid. RMA turnaround time should give me plenty of time to work out and the kinks in the w.c. loop.

As the chips are falling, the only area that’s looking (probably) to tight to bend ½’ hose is the inlet/outlet of the CPU block. Worse case may require my fab/modding new “sweeping†barbs to the CPU block.

CHANGES SINCE LAST PICTURE POSTS:

1) Split/part line takes a zigzag shape to accommodate worse case scenario of a line of 3 full height PCI cards + graphics card and 2 pci express cards.

2) Bumped out the water pump to be over the top fan, frees up some room for comfortable tube bends to and from the pump.

3) Grafted on a modded rear panel (with all the card mounting sheet metal and accessories plug in panel) to the folddown side panel.

4) Spliced in psu mounting panel to opposite side of the case

5) Mounted hacked up motherboard mounting plate and fitted it to the fold down door.

6) Made a mess.

So at this point it ready to become a functioning mule. Bit rough around the edges, pop riveted together, etc. I may dial it in, mig weld the joints, etc, or, build another less butchered case (cause this time I'd know where I’m headed) or, just use it like it is.

Oh Yea, need to design and fabricate a nice front bezel

*Note: Three year olds stealing the scene , dads know...gotta pick your battles...he stays... this time...

FRNT VIEW (Ya think it need s a frnt. bezel ) BUTTONEND UP, EVERY THING FITS INSIDE

OPENED UP. NOTE PEGS REPRESENTING CPU BLOCK BARBS, PLUMBING NEXT ON THE AGENDA

BACK VIEW ILLUSTRATES REAR PANEL INTERFACE DIVISION BETWEEN EITHER SIDE OF CASE. (Double hard drive cage not in view, fits fine, just haven't figured the best way to mount it.)

So, plumbing’s next. Preliminary mockups don’t show any big problem areas except the inlet/outlet for the CPU block…plan in the works. In general relatively easy, challenge is to optimize a kluge set of components. Means avoiding elbows and the like. Messing around with some fabbed swept bends now, not sure of there final composition.

Any way, check back in a week or two, by then should have the loop mocked up, hooked up and tested for leaks. Hopefully the mobo will be back by then and I might even be running.

AWWWW ISN'T YOUR ASSISTANT CUTE!!!!!

Lol. Mock up is a very good job, did you account for the space components will be stick out from the motherboard though? I have a DS3 and the HS and such will stick out about 1.5''.

Ya I did account for everything that protrudes from the board (which mounts upside down here) I sort encompassed the space for 4 gigs of ram, existing NB sink, the rear panel plug asem, and cpu block all into a generouse single block for my mock up in that there all about the same height

The water blocks for NB and CPU actually sit significantly lower than in my mock up, just the bends in the hoses from an to them present some challenges.

I additionally have on my digital model a block which encompasses all the cables plugged into the front of the board (SATA, PSU, IDE, floppy, cables etc.)

Thanks for the reply and coments

THis not a joke, I've RMA'd about 80% on this build. Now my mobo croaked...3 weeks is the RMA turn around time. Would be a great time to work out the kinks in my loop accept the 3 yr. olds snagged my tubing and slinky stuff and integrated it into is own arsenal.
